Richmond cut two, one announces retirement

  • Richmond cut two, one announces retirement

Richmond has announced a further three list changes ahead of next month's draft in Adelaide.

After the retirements of Chris Newman, Ricky Petterd, Chris Knights and Nathan Foley, Richmond delisted Matt McDonough and Matt Arnot before the trade period had begun.

However, now joining those six is Nathan Gordon, Matt Dea and Matt Thomas.

Matt Thomas arrived from Port Adelaide as a delisted free agent two seasons ago. Thomas played 102 games for both the Power and Tigers and has called time on his career.

Gordon received a second chance from the Tigers two years ago after first spending time at the Sydney Swans where he was also delisted. Gordon managed just the 21 games for the Tigers, after just the two games in the red and white for the Swans.

Matt Dea, who was fantastic in the VFL this season was starved of opportunity at the top level, managing just 31 games in five seasons.
