In-form Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins has reportedly put contract talks on hold, amid speculation that he will seek a move away from the club at the end of the season.

Jenkins is coming off a career best eight goals against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night, despite the team going down by 15 points.

The 27 year old is set to attract big interest from rival clubs, including his former club, Essendon who Jenkins still has many mates at, including suspended defender Michael Hurley who Jenkins caught up with in Adelaide last month.

Jenkins currently sits fourth on the Coleman Medal table after a stellar start to the season.
