The Western Bulldogs are set to welcome back a number of players to strength their team ahead of their game against the in-form Magpies at the MCG.

While the Western Bulldogs will lose midfielder Lin Jong through suspension, they are expected to get at least half of their defensive line back with Matthew Suckling, Matthew Boyd and Marcus Adams all returning from injury and suspension.

Suckling has not played since round five after injuring his ankle in the team's win against the Brisbane Lions.

Veteran defender Boyd missed last week's loss to the GWS Giants through suspension, as did key forward Jack Redpath who is also in line to return to the senior team.

First year defender Marcus Adams has missed the last two weeks after suffering a finger injury.

FOX Sports reporter Tom Morris believes that debutant Kieran Collins and midfielder Koby Stevens will join Jong on the sidelines this weekend.
